Chain Sizing Guide

The most popular pendant length chains are around 40cm (16″) to 50cm (20″) in length.

After a measurement is obtained, it’s a good idea to choose for a necklace size that is at least the second size up from your neck size. For example, if you have an 18-inch neck, you should probably choose a chain length of 20 inches or more. An 18-inch chain would feel too tight.

The best way to choose your chain length is to compare with another chain you have to make sure how it set on your neck and what is the rest will fall. also, if you have long chain you can resize as much as you like and measure it to get the size and make the right decision.

There are some influences on the chain position on the neck, the most important of which are:

  1. The neck circumference and the length of the chain it occupies.
  2. The difference of the pendant weight
  3. The difference in the length of the pendant taking into consideration that it is the last point fall.
  4. The difference in the chains flexibility and the point it forms after hanging any piece through it.
